It is planned to invite about 300 government officials and experts from Muslim countries to this international event, which will be held in November of this year.
World Waqf Forum to be held in Samarkand
A delegation led by Zayniddin Eshonqulov, Deputy Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan and Chairman of the Waqf Charitable Public Fund, participated in the Islamic Economy Week and the World Waqf Forum held in Malaysia.
The delegation of Uzbekistan met with a senator of the Parliament of Malaysia, the leadership of the Malaysia Waqf Foundation, the Secretary-General of the World Zakat and Waqf Forum, and other officials to conduct negotiations on the sector.
During the meeting with Abdul Latif Mirasa, Chairman of Malaysia's "Nasyrul Quran" publishing house, a memorandum of understanding was signed to further expand cooperation, exchange mutual experience, and jointly implement various charitable projects.
The "Nasyrul Quran" publishing house gifted 20,000 copies of the "Holy Quran and the Translation of its Meanings in the Uzbek Language" to the people of Uzbekistan through the "Waqf" Charitable Public Fund.
During the meetings, an agreement was reached to hold the World Waqf Forum in the city of Samarkand in November of this year. It is planned to invite about 300 government officials and experts from Muslim countries to this international event.
