During the weekdays, air temperatures in regions other than the southern provinces and the Bukhara and Navoiy regions will rise to a maximum of +32 degrees. This situation is associated with the warm air mass expected to dominate the region.
Starting from Thursday in the north, and from Friday in other regions, the edge of an anticyclone entering the area will lower temperatures by 2−3 degrees in some places compared to previous days. Excluding some areas of the valley and the mountains at the beginning of the week, this week is also forecast to be dry.
According to foreign weather bureaus, between September 21 and 25, average temperatures in a very large part of Uzbekistan will be 2−4 degrees higher than the long-term climatic norm due to the influence of a warm air mass.
According to Uzhydromet's weekly forecast, no precipitation is expected in the republic during the week, except for the mountainous areas of the republic and some parts of the valley on Monday, and the mountainous areas on Tuesday-Thursday. The forecast map below shows the total precipitation expected in areas during the week.
During the weekdays, temperatures are forecast to be +10…15 degrees warm at night and in the morning in mountainous areas, and +13…+18 degrees warm in other regions. During the daytime at the beginning of the week, it is expected to be +20…+25 degrees warm in the mountains, up to +35…+37 degrees in Bukhara, Navoiy, and southern regions, and up to +33 degrees in other regions.
On Thursday, daytime temperatures in the north will drop to +30 degrees at most, and starting from Friday, daytime temperatures in other regions, except for the southern provinces, are also expected to rise up to +30 degrees. Over the weekend, air temperatures will drop again.
According to other information from Uzhydromet and forecasts from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), this week the average air temperature in most of the republic will be 1−3 degrees higher than the norm typical for this period, and 3−6 degrees higher in the Khorezm region and Karakalpakstan, while the amount of precipitation in other parts, except for the southern districts of the Fergana region, will be significantly below normal.
Thus, while the weekdays start slightly warmer, a noticeably cool autumn can be felt over the weekend.
On Friday and the weekend, the drop in air temperature and the increase in air humidity under the influence of the anticyclone across the republic, combined with windless conditions in densely populated areas such as Tashkent and the valley regions, may lead to an increase in fine dust particles in the air.
For people prone to respiratory diseases and allergic flare-ups, such weather may cause some discomfort. At the same time, this situation may worsen symptoms in those with asthma and bronchial diseases, cause coughing, itchy throat and eyes, shortness of breath, and increase the load on those with cardiovascular diseases.
During weekdays, the warm and relatively dry daytime air will create comfortable conditions for the population in most areas. Over the weekend, however, the drop in temperature will be noticeable, especially at night and in the morning.
Current forecasts for solar activity indicate a high probability of a "red" alert level geomagnetic storm in the middle of this week.
In particular, there is a risk of a "red" alert level magnetic storm on Wednesday. For other days of the work week, mostly "yellow" level magnetic storms are forecast. Science still has no clear conclusions about the impact of magnetic storms on human health. Therefore, it is incorrect to say that such cosmic influence definitely affects human health.
The Uzhydromet agency does not expect strong winds during the week. From Friday, the weakening of the wind and the stabilization of the atmosphere under the influence of the anticyclone may create conditions for a temporary deterioration of air quality in some areas, especially in Tashkent and the valley. For now, no strong meteorological factors are visible for a sharp increase in dust particles in the air.
Thus, on September 21−27, the weather in Uzbekistan will remain almost uniformly stable.
