Certain categories of citizens may be provided with vouchers for theaters, cinemas, and concerts
In Uzbekistan, it is proposed to provide free and discounted vouchers for theater, cinema, and concert events through the "Social Card" to teachers, doctors, civil servants, active pupils and students, as well as children of families registered in the Social Register and children with disabilities.
A draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers has been prepared in this regard.
According to the draft, it is planned to allocate 500,000 vouchers annually for teachers, doctors, civil servants, active pupils and students, and 100,000 vouchers for children of families registered in the Social Register and children with disabilities.
The vouchers will be issued electronically through the "Social Card" mobile application. Their value is expected to be up to 30 percent of the base calculating amount.
In addition, it is proposed to integrate information about teachers, doctors, civil servants, active pupils and students, children of families in the Social Register, and children with disabilities into the "Social Card" information system by January 2027.
The draft also envisages the electronic transmission of information about events in cultural institutions, ticket prices, and quotas to the "Social Card" system, as well as the introduction of a mechanism for transferring voucher funds to theaters, cinemas, and concert institutions.
The draft resolution is not yet a final document. If adopted, it will enter into force in accordance with the established procedure.
