In Uzbekistan, children from needy families will be issued vouchers for kindergartens, travel, and dormitories
Starting next year, children from families included in the Social Register will receive special vouchers. The state will fully cover their expenses for kindergartens, training centers, travel, and student dormitories.
This was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a meeting. The voucher will be valid for 12 months. It will remain in effect even if the family is removed from the Social Register of low-income families during this time.
In addition, the state is expanding support for mothers: the Social Insurance Fund will pay working women a child care allowance until the child reaches one year of age.
This year, the state has already allocated 300 billion soums for social packages for needy families. Assistance was received by 11,000 families, and half of them saw their incomes rise significantly.
Earlier, the authorities of the republic also announced support for the families of landscaping workers. As part of the "Defender of Nature's Harmony" competition, the state will fully pay for university tuition for 100 children and grandchildren of veterans of municipal and sanitation services.
