Uzbekistan to host meeting of SCO prosecutors general in 2027

Uzbekistan will host the next meeting of the Prosecutors General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation member states in 2027.
This decision was announced following the 24th meeting of the Prosecutors General of the SCO countries, held on October 1 in Kazan. The meeting was attended by the heads of the supervisory authorities of the organization's member states, as well as SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Ermekbaev and Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS Ularbek Sharsheev.
One of the key topics of the meeting was the protection of minors from illegal and destructive content. The parties agreed to exchange information and law enforcement experience, as well as to hold joint events to develop measures for creating a safe information environment. A corresponding protocol was signed following the meeting.
On September 1, the jubilee SCO summit was held in Bishkek. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev put forward a number of initiatives to develop cooperation within the organization, including in the fields of industry, artificial intelligence, transport, energy, and water security.
