Uzbekistan has begun preparations for the 2027 UN Anti-Corruption Conference
Preparations have launched in Uzbekistan for the next session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption, which will take place in the country in 2027.
The decision to host this international event in the republic was made in December 2025 at the 11th session of the conference in Doha.
As part of the preparatory activities, a delegation from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, led by Chief of Branch Brigitte Strobel-Shaw, visited Uzbekistan. Representatives of the international organization held meetings with the leadership of the Anti-Corruption Agency, as well as with representatives of the relevant ministries and departments of the republic.
During the talks, the parties reviewed organizational and legal matters regarding preparations for the upcoming forum. The UN representatives emphasized that the selection of Uzbekistan as the venue for such a major forum confirms the country's active role and ongoing reforms within the global anti-corruption movement.
