Uzbekistan, Russia sign anti-corruption cooperation program for 2027–2028

Uzbekistan and Russia have agreed on a new program to expand cooperation in preventing and combating corruption in 2027–2028.

Uzbekistan and Russia have signed an anti-corruption cooperation program for 2027–2028.

The agreement was reached after talks between Akmal Burkhanov, director of Uzbekistan’s Anti-Corruption Agency, and Alexander Gutsan, Prosecutor General of Russia, according to Russia’s.

The program calls for sharing experience in preventing corruption, using digital tools to detect corruption risks, strengthening anti-corruption culture, and cooperating in research and education.

The two sides also discussed the use of digital technologies in the fight against corruption and plans to establish more regular contacts between the relevant agencies of the two countries.

Uzbekistan will host the 12th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption in 2027. Russia said it is ready to take an active part in the event.
