Uzbekistan Sets Liquefied Gas Price and Compensations for Families in Need

Starting November 15, residents of Uzbekistan will pay 5,000 sums per kilogram of liquefied gas. At the same time, the state will compensate part of the expenses for certain categories of families. The maximum payment amount will be 60,000 sums per month.

The new rules were approved by Cabinet of Ministers Resolutions No. 601 and No. 602 dated October 31.

### Who Will Be Eligible for Compensation

The state will reimburse 3,000 sums for each kilogram of gas purchased. Compensation is provided for a maximum of 20 kg per month.

Families from the Social Register will be eligible for the payment. Households that meet the register's criteria but are not yet included in it will also be entitled to compensation. At the same time, the average monthly income per person must not exceed twice the minimum consumer expenditure.

The recipients also include families raising orphans or children left without parental care. The compensation will be paid until January 1, 2030.

To apply for the payment, one can visit a public services center, use the EPIGU portal, or submit an application through the "Inson" social services center.

### How Gas Delivery Expenses Will Be Compensated

Resolution No. 602 also provides for state budget subsidies. They will cover economically justified expenses for delivering liquefied gas to the population.

The cost of LPG-Trade services for delivering one kilogram of gas has been set at 1,300 sums, including VAT.

As a reminder, during the 2026/2027 heating season, certain families in need will also be paid a one-off financial assistance package of 1 million sums. It was previously reported that the payments are planned to be completed by November 30.
