Low-income families received 92.1 billion soums in compensation for gas and electricity.

In the first six months of 2026, 562,918 low-income families in Uzbekistan received a total of 92.1 billion soums in compensation for electricity and natural gas consumption.
These payments are being made in accordance with Presidential Resolution No. PP-134 of April 2, 2025. Their purpose is to cover the difference between the base tariff and the increased cost of energy consumption above established standards.
Of the total compensation, 51,427.8 million soums were allocated to cover electricity costs, and 40,702.3 million soums were allocated for natural gas.
