In November 2026, assistance of 1 million UZS is expected to be provided to needy families

According to the draft Presidential decree submitted for public discussion, in November 2026, needy families will receive 1 million

It is planned to provide 1 million UZS in assistance to needy families in November 2026. In accordance with the draft Presidential decree put up for public discussion, one-off material assistance will be allocated to needy families in that month.

This assistance will be given to families in the Social Register, as well as to families not included in the register, but whose per capita income does not exceed 2 times the minimum consumption expenditure. Funds will be transferred to social cards or bank cards by November 30.

Also, according to a draft resolution submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers for discussion, the retail price of liquefied gas for the population will be set at 5,000 UZS per 1 kg, including value-added tax. The capped price for the gas delivery service to the population by "LPG-Trade" LLC will be 1,300 UZS per 1 kg.

The new price does not mean transitioning liquefied gas entirely to market prices. The difference between the exchange purchase price and delivery costs of gas by "LPG-Trade" LLC and the retail price set for the population will be covered as a subsidy from the republic's budget.

To soften the social impact of the price change, a compensation procedure will be introduced for needy families. Until January 1, 2030, they will be paid compensation in the amount of 3,000 UZS for each kilogram of liquefied gas purchased, but not exceeding 20 kilograms per month.

Compensation will be given to families in the Social Register, families not in the register but whose per capita income does not exceed 2 times the minimum consumption expenditure, as well as families where orphans and children deprived of parental care reside. Funds will be transferred to the families' social cards after the purchase of gas is confirmed.

To receive compensation, one can apply through the Public Services Center, the "Inson" Social Services Center, the social worker attached to the neighborhood (mahalla), the Single Interactive Public Services Portal, or the "Ijtimoiy Karta" mobile application.

Furthermore, if two or more families live in one household, and there are gas stoves and a kitchen that meet technical requirements, an exception may be made to allocate a separate household gas cylinder to each family, even if there is only one cadastral number. For this, the "mahalla seven" and gas supply staff will conduct an on-site inspection and draw up an assessment report.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance, together with the Ministry of Energy, will submit a proposal by May 1, 2027, on liberalizing liquefied gas prices, taking into account the level of market development and the need for social protection of the population.
