According to the results of the 38th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2026) held in Tashkent, the Uzbekistan national team returned with four medals.
For the first time in the history of the national team, all four participants managed to become prize-winners. They won one silver and three bronze medals in total.
The silver medal went to Johanali Haydaraliyev, a 9th grade student of the Muhammad al-Khwarizmi school.
Bronze medals were awarded to the following students: Timur Kadirbergenov, an 11th grade student of the Presidential School in Nukus, Ulugbek Rahmatullayev, an 11th grade student of the Presidential School in Namangan, and Jahongirshoh Avazkhanov, a 10th grade student of the same school.
Sardorbek Salimov, a student of the Presidential School in Navoi, was also awarded the "Honorary Recognition" award.
This historic result is the result of many years of hard work by the students, the work of their teachers, and the reforms in the field of digital education aimed at supporting talented youth in the country.
The successful participation of Uzbek students in this international Olympiad held in Tashkent is one of the most important achievements of the national computer science team and has laid a solid foundation for the participation of the country's young programmers in future international competitions.
