Uzbekistan entrepreneurs to implement agricultural projects in Serbia
The Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, held a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Serbia, Dragan Glamočić.
During the conversation, the parties reviewed opportunities for implementing joint projects of Uzbekistan entrepreneurs on the territory of Serbia in animal husbandry, horticulture, and seed production.
Particular attention during the negotiations was paid to the breeding of pedigree livestock, the creation of modern livestock complexes, the production of meat and dairy products, the development of the fodder base, and the introduction of advanced veterinary technologies.
In addition, issues of establishing intensive orchards, as well as growing and propagating high-yielding seed varieties, were discussed.
The meeting participants also touched upon the prospects of processing, storing, and packaging products, forming a value chain, and supplying it to domestic and foreign markets.
Following the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of creating favorable conditions for the work of Uzbekistan investors in Serbia, expanding investment cooperation, and exchanging agricultural technologies.
In conclusion, agreements were reached to support the projects of Uzbekistan entrepreneurs in Serbia and to bring the agricultural partnership between the two countries to a new level.
, that the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, departed today for Serbia on an official visit at the invitation of the head of the republic, Aleksandar Vučić.
