Uzbekistan and China intend to expand cooperation in animal husbandry and seed production

Uzbekistan and China plan to increase cooperation in the field of agriculture, including in the development of animal husbandry, seed production, and the introduction of modern agricultural technologies. This is indicated by the results of a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, Jamshid Abduzukhurov, and a delegation from the city of Bayannur in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the PRC.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the expansion of bilateral cooperation, the implementation of mutually beneficial projects, and the introduction of modern technologies into the agricultural sector.

Special attention was paid to the development of animal husbandry. The participants considered the application of modern methods of breeding and selection, increasing livestock productivity, as well as the possibilities of using advanced foreign experience.

Another topic of discussion was the development of the seed production system. The parties reviewed the issues of creating high-yielding varieties adapted to local conditions, producing high-quality seed material, and introducing modern technologies in this area.

The meeting participants also discussed the introduction of scientific and innovative developments into agricultural practice. In particular, they spoke about the use of digital technologies and the integration of the results of modern scientific research with production processes.

Following the meeting, priority areas for further scientific and technological cooperation in the field of animal husbandry and seed production were identified.
