A program to train agricultural personnel with the participation of a Chinese university has been launched in Tashkent. 40 Uzbek farmers are participating.

Uzbekistan and China have launched a joint initiative aimed at developing corn farming.

According to the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan, a launch ceremony for the program "Practical Corn Cultivation Technologies in Uzbekistan and a Program for Training Qualified Personnel for the Agricultural Sector" was held at Tashkent State Agrarian University. A delegation from Xinjiang Agricultural University of China participated in the event.

Representatives of the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction, as well as 40 Uzbek farmers, also attended the opening. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to strengthening human resource capacity in the agricultural sector, developing advanced technologies, and further deepening Uzbek-Chinese cooperation in agriculture.

The program includes both theoretical and practical classes on corn cultivation. The curriculum covers aspects such as water-saving irrigation methods, improving soil fertility, mechanization of agricultural work, and the introduction of other modern agricultural technologies.

Forty farmers participating in the training will be able to apply the acquired knowledge and practical experience in their regions.

The main goal of the program is to improve the professional skills of specialists and farmers, as well as to expand the exchange of experience between Uzbekistan and China in the agricultural sector.
