Uzbekistan companies will receive subsidies for warehouse, certification, and transportation costs when exporting to Syria

Warehouse, certification, and transportation costs of Uzbek companies exporting to Syria will be subsidized
Uzbek companies are planned to receive support when entering the Syrian market, including subsidies for warehouse rent, product certification, and transportation costs. This was announced at the Uzbekistan–Syria Business Forum held in Tashkent on September 19.
The forum was attended by the Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Economy and Industry of Syria Mohammad Nidal al-Shaar, as well as representatives of trade and industrial associations and businesses of the two countries. From the Syrian side, heads of more than 30 companies operating in sectors such as textiles, pharmaceuticals, food and chemical industries, agriculture, construction materials, and electrical engineering participated.
As part of supporting entrepreneurs in entering the markets of both countries, it is planned to introduce mechanisms to cover certain expenses of Uzbek companies during the export process. Meanwhile, Syrian businesses are planned to be assisted in finding local partners, organizing negotiations, and implementing projects to operate in Uzbekistan.
Other measures aimed at expanding trade and investment cooperation were also outlined at the forum. In particular, it is planned to hold the "Made in Uzbekistan" exhibition in the cities of Aleppo and Damascus in February 2027, and an exhibition of Syrian products in Tashkent during the same year. The Uzbekistan Trade House in Aleppo is intended to be used to promote Uzbek products in the local market and find new partners.
A working group headed by deputy ministers of the two countries has also been established to systematically develop cooperation across sectors. The group is planned to work on specific projects, companies, and practical solutions, consolidating key initiatives into a single Roadmap.
During the negotiations, it was noted that preliminary agreements in trade and investment directions had been reached between the companies. During the B2B and B2G meetings within the framework of the forum, issues of identifying specific products, investment projects, and potential partners were discussed.
In mid-August, it was reported that Uzbek electrical products were exported to Syria for the first time. Two trucks loaded with air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines were delivered to the Syrian city of Aleppo. The value of this cargo amounted to 90 thousand dollars.
