Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan intend to organize joint business missions to Syria and Iraq.

According to Podrobno.uz news agency, the first trip is planned for late September to Aleppo, Syria, and the second for early October to Erbil, Iraq.

Davron Vakhabov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, proposed forming a delegation of 20-30 entrepreneurs. A trilateral business forum is planned for Aleppo, involving companies from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Syria. This trip is also planned to coincide with the official opening of an Uzbek trading house, which began operations in March.

There is demand in the Syrian market for food products, construction materials, vegetable oil, meat, and metal products. In particular, sunflower oil produced in Uzbekistan from Kazakh raw materials has already been shipped to Aleppo.

The next delegation will travel to Erbil. Vakhabov noted that approximately 180 Iraqi entrepreneurs visited Uzbekistan approximately 20 days before the upcoming forum. Iraqi partners expressed interest in monthly deliveries of seven to eight trucks of Uzbek confectionery products, as well as porcelain tiles from the Fergana region.

It was previously reported that Uzbekistan opened a trading house in the Belarusian capital.
