Uzbekistan and Serbia are stepping up cooperation in the field of occupational safety and health

During the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Serbia, the parties signed a document on cooperation in the field of occupational safety and health.

The agreement reached is aimed at further strengthening cooperation between the two countries and creating additional opportunities to increase safety levels in the workplace, protect the lives and health of workers, as well as exchange experience and introduce modern approaches in the field of occupational safety.

One of the main areas of cooperation will be ensuring safe and healthy working conditions.

The parties also plan to focus on improving occupational safety systems, preventing industrial accidents and occupational diseases.

Particular importance is attached to studying international experience and modern methods of ensuring occupational safety, with the subsequent application of the most effective approaches in practice.

For the State Labor Inspectorate of Uzbekistan, international cooperation in this area is important from the perspective of improving mechanisms for monitoring and preventing violations of safety and occupational health requirements.

Exchanging experience with foreign partners will allow for the study of applied approaches and the consideration of possibilities for their implementation.

Issues of preserving the lives and health of workers are among the priorities of Uzbekistan's state labor policy.
