Uzbekistan and Chong Kun Dang discussed cooperation

The Uzbek delegation discussed pharmaceuticals, biosimilars, technology transfer, and joint projects with Jeong Kun Dang in Korea.

The Uzbek delegation held a meeting with representatives of Chong Kun Dang Pharmaceutical Corp. during its visit to the Republic of Korea. This was reported by the Agency for the Development of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Industry. The delegation included representatives of this agency and the National Biopharmaceutical Research Institute.

During the negotiations, the parties considered the possibilities of implementing Korean experience in the pharmaceutical sector in Uzbekistan and implementing joint projects.

Chong Kun Dang representatives presented their company's experience in the production of medicines and the creation of new drugs. In particular, special attention was paid to biological drugs and biosimilars.

The Uzbek delegation got acquainted with the company's modern production infrastructure, quality control system in accordance with GMP requirements, and research and development activities.

One of the main areas of the negotiations was the introduction of Korean advanced practices into the pharmaceutical industry of Uzbekistan. The parties also discussed the issues of training highly qualified specialists for the biopharmaceutical industry, and developing the exchange of knowledge and experience between specialists from both countries.

In addition, the participants of the meeting considered the prospects for implementing joint research and production projects in the biopharmaceutical sector. Among the areas discussed were the transfer of technologies and the identification of promising areas for further development of cooperation.
