"Uzbekfilm Cinema Town" to be built on an area of 10 hectares

Our President announced that a modern infrastructure will be created for film production.

A single industrial cluster gathering film services — the "Uzbekfilm Cinema Town" — will be established on a 10-hectare territory belonging to "Uzbekfilm".

A Dubbing and Sound Center equipped with modern technologies will be built within the "Cinema Town".

Within two months, a qualified design organization will be engaged to develop the master plan and project estimates for the town. Construction work will begin in March next year.

Instructions were given to put vacant state assets in the cinema system up for public auction.

The head of our state announced another initiative for filmmakers. The "Kohinur" sanatorium in the Quyi Chirchiq district will be fully placed at their disposal.

This sanatorium was recently renovated and equipped based on modern requirements. All conditions have been created here for the proper rest of filmmakers.

Our President emphasized that this venue will become a true creative space where our filmmakers can gather strength and work on new ideas.

In addition, every year at least 300 dedicated employees working in the field of cinema will be provided with free vouchers for rest and treatment in the republic's sanatoriums.

Our President announced that a "Film Critics Club" will be established to develop science, analysis, and professional criticism in the field.

The "Uzbekfilm" national film company will support the club's activities.

It will assist in its membership in the International Federation of Film Critics — FIPRESCI.

This will serve to expand the participation of national films in prestigious international festivals.

To strengthen the professional community of representatives of the sphere, the Union of Filmmakers of Uzbekistan and the Association of Representatives of the Film Industry of Uzbekistan will be merged, and the Chamber of Representatives of the Cinema Sphere of Uzbekistan will be established.

The Chamber will be engaged in developing self-regulation in the sphere, protecting the copyright and professional interests of creators, and assisting in the professional growth of youth.

It was determined that young filmmakers will undergo advanced training abroad, and the activities of the chamber will be supported financially and organizationally.

Work on organizing the activities of the new chamber was instructed to be completed within one month.

Our President emphasized the need to bring the national film industry to a new stage of technological development.

A cooperation program on the extensive use of artificial intelligence capabilities in filmmaking will be developed within a month.

It will cover issues of preparing new educational programs, training specialists, and upgrading their qualifications abroad.

After that, the head of our state put forward an initiative to strengthen the name of "Uzbekfilm" as a single brand of our national cinema. It was noted that our people have long called this area of Chilanzar "Uzbekfilm".

It was proposed to give the name "Uzbekfilm" to this part of current Chilanzar Street.

It was proposed to rename the Museum of Cinema Art to the "Uzbekfilm" Museum, the Palace of Cinema Art to the "Uzbekfilm" Cinema Palace, the National Film Fund to the "Uzbekfilm" National Film Fund, and to unite them under a single brand.
