Uzbek weightlifters won 15 new medals at the Asian Championships held in Uzbekistan.

At the ongoing Asian Weightlifting Championships in Tashkent, Uzbek athletes added another 15 medals to their collection: one gold, five silver, and nine bronze.
Junior Mukhammadshokir Turdaliev won the only gold of the day, winning the snatch in the 95-kilogram weight class. He also took second in the combined event in the same category.
The youth team added four silver medals. Bekzod Gofirjonov won two silver medals in the 95-kilogram category (snatch and combined event), and Dilnura Kholdorova won two silver medals in the 77-kilogram category (clean and jerk and combined event).
The team's bronze medal collection increased by nine medals.
Among juniors, Alisher Osmanov took third in the snatch and combined events in the 95-kilogram category. Elbek Idiev, competing in the over-95-kilogram category, won three bronze medals (in the clean and jerk, snatch, and combined events). Khulkar Ruzikulova took third in the clean and jerk in the over-77-kilogram category.
In the youth category, Dilnoza Fayzullaeva (77-kilogram) reached the podium three times, winning bronze medals in the clean and jerk, snatch, and combined events.
As a reminder, the day before, at the same tournament, juniors and representatives of the Uzbek youth team had already won 18 medals: 7 gold, 6 silver, and 5 bronze medals.
