Weightlifters from Uzbekistan added to their medal tally at the Asian Championships in Tashkent, winning an additional 10 medals. This was reported by the press service of the National Olympic Committee, summing up the results of the ongoing continental junior and youth weightlifting championships.
Thus, Uzbek athletes added three gold, six silver, and one bronze medal to their tally.
Gold medals were awarded to:
* Marzhona Abdumutalova (57 kg weight category, youth) – for the snatch;
* Ziyoda Khudoykulova (61 kg weight category, youth) – for the snatch;
* Munisa Boltaeva (61 kg weight category, juniors) – for the clean and jerk.
Silver medals were won by:
* Zarina Abdullakhakova (57 kg junior women's weight category) for the snatch;
* Marzhona Abdumutalova (57 kg youth women's weight category) for the clean and jerk;
* Marzhona Abdumutalova (57 kg youth women's weight category) for the combined event;
* Munisa Boltaeva (61 kg junior women's weight category) for the combined event;
* Ziyoda Khudoykulova (61 kg youth women's weight category) for the clean and jerk;
* Ziyoda Khudoykulova (61 kg youth women's weight category) for the combined event.
Munisa Boltaeva also won a bronze medal in the snatch in the 61 kg junior women's weight category.
