At the Asian Junior and Youth Weightlifting Championships currently underway in Tashkent, the Uzbekistan team added to its medal tally. On another day of competition, the athletes won four medals.

The competition continues in the Olympic Village, where Uzbek athletes won one silver and three bronze medals.

Tokhir Turobov won silver in the junior men's snatch in the 75-kilogram weight class. He also won bronze in the combined event in the same category.

Nurillo Davlatboev, competing in the junior weightlifting competition, also won two bronze medals. He placed third in the snatch and also won bronze in the combined event.

Earlier, the Uzbekistan women's team won ten medals in one day at this tournament: three gold, six silver, and one bronze medal.
