Up to 8 thousand sums per questionnaire. In Uzbekistan, khokims' assistants will be paid money for the business census

Khokims' assistants in Uzbekistan will be able to receive remuneration for participating in the business census. For each completed and accepted questionnaire for an officially registered enterprise, they will be credited 6,120 sums, and for a business operating without state registration — 8,160 sums.

The new procedure for a one-off payment was approved by a Cabinet of Ministers resolution dated October 9. Funds for these payments will be allocated from a project with the participation of the World Bank, and the transfer of money will be handled by the National Committee on Statistics.

The amount of the bonus is tied to the minimum wage, which is 1.36 million sums. For information on a legally operating enterprise, employees will be paid 6,120 sums (0.45% of the minimum wage), while a questionnaire about a business without state registration is valued higher — at 8,160 sums (0.6% of the minimum wage).

The accounting of self-employed citizens will not be paid, as they complete the survey independently in an online format.

At the same time, the remuneration will be transferred only after the census fully covers the entire array of economic units in the territory assigned to the employee.

The Ministry of Labor assured that participation in the census will not affect the main work of khokims' assistants in any way: their positions and salaries are fully retained, and if a registrar is replaced for objective reasons, the right to payment will transfer to the employee who actually performed the work.

As a reminder, from October 15 to November 30, 2026, a general business census is being conducted in Uzbekistan, covering companies, individual entrepreneurs, the self-employed, foreign representative offices, and entities operating without registration. The reference date for accounting information is set as October 1, 2026. The accounting is conducted by the National Committee on Statistics together with khokims' assistants, who survey respondents at their actual place of business.

The large-scale survey is being conducted due to the need to reduce the shadow economy, the share of which in the country is 23% (246 trillion sums), with the highest concentration falling on agriculture — up to 60% of turnover. Personal data of participants is protected by law and will be anonymized, and the final results of the census will be published by the National Committee on Statistics before September 1, 2027.
