Tourist flow to Uzbekistan increased by 21 percent

In January–August 2026, more than 9.1 million foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes. This is 21.1 percent more compared to the same period last year.

Tourist flow to Uzbekistan increased by 21 percent

According to the National Statistics Committee, in the first eight months of this year, the number of foreign citizens who visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes amounted to 9 million 102.7 thousand people.

This figure has increased by 1.6 million people or 21.1 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2025.

The largest number of tourists to Uzbekistan came from the Kyrgyz Republic — 2 million 254.4 thousand people. It is followed by Kazakhstan with 2 million 171.6 thousand and Tajikistan with 2 million 25.4 thousand people.

During the eight months, 867.8 thousand tourists from Russia, 329.6 thousand from Afghanistan, and 318.5 thousand from China visited Uzbekistan.

In addition, 224.8 thousand foreign citizens from Turkmenistan, 130.2 thousand from Turkey, 39.5 thousand from India, and 32.2 thousand from Germany arrived for tourism purposes.
