The tourist flow to Uzbekistan continues to increase: from January to August 2026, 9.1 million foreign citizens visited the country. Compared to the same period in 2025, this figure grew by 21.1%, the Tourism Committee reported.

August proved to be one of the most active months: 1.4 million tourists arrived in the republic over the 31 days. Thus, almost one in six foreign visitors during the eight-month period arrived in the last month of summer.

The most notable dynamics were demonstrated by Asian markets. The flow of tourists from China grew 2.3 times, from Malaysia doubled, and from Japan increased 1.5 times. The number of visitors from the US increased by 40%, and from Russia by 30%.

Growth in interest from European countries also persisted. The tourist flow from Germany increased by a quarter, and from France and the UK by 21%. From Turkey, 15% more tourists arrived in Uzbekistan.

At the same time, revenues in the tourism industry also grew. Over the eight months, the export of tourism services generated $4.6 billion — 53.5% more than the previous year.
