Uzbekistan welcomed a record 7.75 million foreign tourists in seven months.

In the first seven months of this year, Uzbekistan welcomed a record number of foreign tourists – 7.75 million. This figure exceeds the same period in 2025 by 1.4 million, representing a 22.6% increase.

According to the National Statistics Committee, the majority of visitors came from neighboring countries. The largest number of tourists came from Kyrgyzstan – 2.18 million. Kazakhstan ranked second with 1.86 million visitors, and Tajikistan third with 1.73 million visits.

Russia also made a significant contribution to the tourist flow, bringing in 710,800 tourists. Afghanistan brought in 281,200 tourists, China 269,700, and Turkmenistan 192,800. Turkey accounted for 111,900 visits. Rounding out the top ten were India with 32,500 tourists and the Republic of Korea with 26,500.

It's worth noting that Uzbekistan is actively working to increase its appeal to tourists, including by updating its selection of national souvenirs. As part of the Uzbek Gift Contest, designers and artisans are developing new products that combine traditional crafts and modern concepts, making them more relevant and convenient for travelers.
