A completely new system for dealing with poverty will be introduced, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced. In this system, leaders responsible for the "neighborhood seven", regional and district khokims, and banks will switch to an enhanced work regime. Headquarters will be established in each region and district under the leadership of a khokim. The authority to manage preferential credit resources for family and youth entrepreneurship will be transferred to district headquarters. Khokims will deal with the entire economic complex only on poverty and employment issues three days a week.

A meeting on poverty reduction issues is being held under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
On the instructions of the President, all heads of the economic complex remained in Khorezm and conducted an analysis on changing the system for combating poverty.
For two weeks, the situation of 81 thousand poor people in the region, that is, 19 thousand families, was studied. It was determined that 12 thousand of these families are unemployed and 10 thousand are low-income.
Currently, entrepreneurs in Khorezm are looking for 4 thousand workers in the construction sector, 3 thousand in the services sector, and 2.5 thousand in industry.
Those responsible were tasked with training unemployed and low-income people in professions based on the needs of enterprises and using the opportunities for employment.
It was noted that by using existing job vacancies and vocational training opportunities, it is possible to increase the income of 10-15 thousand people from poor families.
It was found that there are 48 thousand children in poor families in Khorezm. However, the authorities do not have a special program to deal with these young people separately and attract them to the profession.
At least 1-2 technical schools and 4-5 training centers operate in each district of the region. Youth leaders, assistants to the governor and women's activists were tasked with organizing additional circles for children from poor families in schools, technical schools and training centers.
More than 10 thousand women from poor families in Khorezm are engaged in childcare. It was noted that the coverage of children from such families in kindergartens does not even reach 75 percent.
646 college and university students have the opportunity to improve their professional skills through dual education based on new projects in the region.
It was also noted that by strengthening social assistance to 526 people of retirement age and with disabilities from poor families, it is possible to create opportunities for family members who are busy with care to engage in gainful employment.
