The Zafarabad district administration has released its version of the accident involving the district head's official car.

The Zafarabad District Khokimiyat (Government Office) presented its interpretation of the traffic accident that occurred on August 30th, involving the official vehicle of district head Gayratjon Eshpulatov. According to the district administration's official version, the khokim himself was driving the vehicle, and his minor son was a passenger.

According to the khokimiyat, the accident was caused by a traffic violation by the driver of a MAZ truck, which, while making a left turn, crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with the official's official vehicle. Previous media reports indicated that the official's son, a school student, was driving the SUV at the time of the accident.

As a result of the incident, the khokim and his son sustained injuries of varying severity and were taken to the intensive care unit of the Jizzakh branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care. The truck driver was uninjured.

The district prosecutor's office has opened a criminal case in accordance with Part 1 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code. Investigative measures are currently underway.
