The updated Lexus GX has received smart mobility systems
The Lexus GX SUV has been updated.
The model will be offered in six trim levels: Premium, Premium+, Luxury, Luxury+, Overtrail, and Overtrail+.
For all versions, the twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 engine has been retained as the base. It produces 349 horsepower and 649 N·m of torque, and works with a ten-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission.
The officially stated fuel consumption is 11.2 liters per 100 km. The maximum towing capacity reaches up to 4120 kg depending on the trim level.
The vehicle is built on the GA-F ladder frame platform. A double-wishbone suspension is used at the front, and a multi-link design at the rear. An adaptive AVS suspension is offered for an additional fee.
For off-road conditions, full-time all-wheel drive and a Torsen center differential are provided as standard. The Overtrail and Overtrail+ versions additionally feature an electronically controlled, locking rear differential. These trim levels are also equipped with the E-KDSS system, which controls the operation of the front and rear stabilizer bars.
The GX has also received Multi-Terrain Select and Crawl Control systems. The former allows selecting the all-wheel-drive operating modes depending on the road surface, while the latter automatically adjusts traction and braking at low speeds.
Inside all versions, a 14-inch screen of the Lexus Interface multimedia system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster are installed. Standard equipment also includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a ten-speaker audio system.
Depending on the trim level, the GX can be a seven-seater. Captain's chairs or a 60:40 split bench are offered for the second row, while the third row can be folded using an electric drive. In some versions, the second-row seats are ventilated.
