The new Lexus NX was introduced
Lexus has introduced the updated NX crossover - sales of the model will begin at the end of 2026.
Japanese company Toyota has introduced its updated Lexus NX crossover. Sales of this model are scheduled to begin at the end of 2026.
The restyled Lexus NX will be offered in four versions, including a plug-in hybrid for the first time:
* **450h+** – This is a plug-in hybrid version with a 2.5-liter engine and all-wheel drive. Its engine power is 326 horsepower and accelerates to 100 km/h in 6 seconds. The electric range is more than 100 km in the European WLTP cycle.
* **350h** – This hybrid version is equipped with a 2.5-liter engine and all-wheel drive. Its total power is 245 horsepower and accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds.
* **300h** – This hybrid version has a 2.5-liter engine and front-wheel drive. Its power is 197 horsepower, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.2 seconds.
* There is also a version equipped with a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder internal combustion engine with 150 horsepower and a front-wheel drive system.
The basis of the updated NX model is a new generation hybrid system. Its design uses an integrated e-Axle unit that combines the transmission, electric motor and power management system into a single compact module.
A new lithium-ion battery has been developed for the plug-in hybrid (450h+). Its power has increased by 8 percent and its capacity by 30 percent (the increase in capacity for the North American market is 8 percent). There is a fast charging function, and the charging port cover is now electrically powered.
The E-Four all-wheel drive system has also been redesigned. Now the rear electric motor works not only during acceleration and cornering, but also when driving in a straight line, providing constant all-wheel drive and improving traction on slippery surfaces.
Changes in the exterior are of a point nature. Instead of chrome elements, black details have appeared, as well as new lighting technology: at the front, two-line lighting with integrated turn signals and daytime running lights, and at the rear, double L-shaped lights are used for the first time for Lexus.
