Mitsubishi releases pickup truck with a shovel on the roof – this is no joke
The Brazilian division of Mitsubishi (Japan) has introduced the Triton Savana Sertões limited edition, a special version of the pickup truck, in honor of the legendary "Rally dos Sertões".

Mitsubishi has introduced a pickup truck with a shovel on its roof in Brazil - and this is no joke. According to Autoevolution, the car will be sold exclusively in the Brazilian market and will come with an expedition package that includes a steel roof rack, a trap and a real shovel straight from the factory.
This special version is based on the top-of-the-line Katana trim of the current generation Triton. It can be easily distinguished from its exterior: the bodywork is painted in "Concrete Spot Gray" with "Sertões" orange accents on the wheels, snorkel, fog lights and stickers. The parts are painted black and equipped with 18-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac RT mud tires.
The main difference is not in the decorative elements, but in the package prepared for difficult off-road conditions. The roof is equipped with a steel roof rack with a scratch-resistant X-Liner coating, capable of carrying 50 kg. A shovel and composite traps are attached to it. The declared wading depth is 800 mm.
The engine remained unchanged. Under the hood is a 2.4-liter biturbodiesel engine with 205 hp and 470 N m of torque, which works in conjunction with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a Super Select 4WD-II all-wheel drive system. The cabin retains a 9-inch multimedia system with offline navigation, a 360 ° camera, leather upholstery with orange stitching and special Sertões badges. The floor mats are rubber and can be washed with a hose.
The price of the car is 339,990 Brazilian reals, which is about 66 thousand dollars. The number of cars is limited, but the company did not disclose their exact number.
