The project to build a "smart city" in Khiva has commenced
Pakistan's Habib Rafiq Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd. has commenced the implementation of an investment project to build a "smart city" in the city of Khiva. The project envisages expanding the city's territory, constructing new residential housing, social and commercial facilities, as well as modern infrastructure.
The project to build a "smart city" has been launched in Khiva. According to the "Dunyo" information agency, the initiative was implemented following negotiations held between the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan, the Khokimiyat of Khorazm region, and the company.
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to build a new part of Khiva based on modern urban planning principles. The phased construction of residential complexes, social and commercial facilities, transport and engineering-communication networks, and municipal service facilities is planned in the area.
In order to promote the project, several visits of the company's delegation to the Khorazm region were organized with the support of the embassy. During the trips, the areas allocated for the project were studied on-site.
Additionally, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the company and the Khokimiyat of Khorazm region.
Habib Rafiq Engineering plans to utilize its experience gained in constructing large-scale urban planning and infrastructure facilities in Pakistan for this project.
