The President visited "New Uzbekistan" University
On the eve of the Teachers and Mentors Day, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited "New Uzbekistan" University and got acquainted with an exhibition prepared on reforms in the field of education and future plans.
First, the work being carried out to ensure the continuity of education, the results achieved, and the set plans were presented. Reforms at various stages of education were demonstrated in the "Preschool Education", "School Education", "Gifted School Students", "Professional Education", and "Higher Education" pavilions.
The presentation reflected the changes taking place in the educational process from a child's early age until they acquire a profession.
The President also got acquainted with the educational and scientific infrastructure of the university. Information was provided about the opportunities created for students in the "Engineers of the Future" area, the "Bloomberg" laboratory, the physics teaching laboratory, the engineering sciences lecture hall, and the "Apple Training Center".
In addition, the activities of the "Idrock" artificial intelligence cluster, the biotechnology and bioinformatics laboratory, materials science, laser and nanotechnology, as well as "ADM" mechanical engineering laboratories were demonstrated.
These infrastructures serve to connect students' theoretical knowledge with practical exercises, scientific research, and projects.
During the visit, the head of state spoke with the university's professors and teachers, students, and foreign partners cooperating in the implementation of international educational programs.
During the meetings, reforms in the field of education and issues of developing a modern learning environment were discussed. The President also took a commemorative photo with active and initiative-taking teachers and mentors.
It was also noted in the official presentations that in the next stage of educational reforms, emphasis is being increased on modern skills, information technologies, and independent thinking.
