Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated schoolchildren and teachers in Uzbekistan, calling them the country's "golden treasure."

On the eve of the new academic year, the president addressed students and teachers across Uzbekistan.

"On this joyful day, I express my warmest wishes to the nearly 800,000 boys and girls who, with interest and excitement, great dreams and hopes, are entering school for the first time, to their parents and the teaching community," the head of state said.

Mirziyoyev emphasized that children who "grow and develop in such an environment, delighting their parents and mentors with their first academic successes, professional development, and achievements in IT, creativity, sports, and community service—they represent our bright future, our golden treasure."

The president noted that in such "educated, diligent, and goal-oriented youth, whose numbers are growing every year, we see the seeds of a Third Renaissance." He added that "our sacred task is to nurture it so that, like a tree with strong roots, it becomes a reliable support for our progress."

Mirziyoyev assured that the authorities will continue to prioritize the development of education and upbringing, which serves as a "solid foundation for achieving such great goals."
