The resolution of the head of our state dated January 28, 2025, "On additional measures for the rapid development of the pharmaceutical network," serves to expand production capacities and introduce modern technologies in the sector.

The work being carried out in this direction at the "RomPharm NS" pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprise, operating in the Olmazor district of Tashkent city, is worthy of attention.

The main task of the enterprise is to supply the domestic market with quality pharmaceutical products and to increase the volume of import-substituting medicines. In the future, it is planned to bring the annual capacity to 1 billion tablets, 500 million capsules, and 120 million sachets.

The enterprise is considered one of the first complexes in Central Asia whose full production cycle and control laboratory are organized based on the European Union's GMP standards.

The total value of the project is 45 million euros. 150 new jobs have been created at the enterprise, which occupies an area of 1.7 hectares. 90 percent of the production process is automated. Modern equipment was brought from Italy, Germany, Austria, the USA, Switzerland, and Bulgaria.

The products manufactured here are fully aimed at import substitution. The main focus is on the production of medicines used in neurology, cardiology, metabolic processes, and anti-inflammatory directions.

While getting acquainted with the activities of the enterprise, the head of our state emphasized the importance of expanding capacities based on modern technologies and supplying the domestic market with quality pharmaceutical products. It was noted that the main goal is to reduce dependence on imports and create new jobs in the sector.

Right there, a presentation on the future plans of the enterprise's activities was made to our President.
