Pharmaceutical production increased in Uzbekistan

In January-May 2026, large enterprises of Uzbekistan produced pharmaceutical products worth nearly 3 trillion soums.

The volume of pharmaceutical production in Uzbekistan has increased significantly. According to the National Statistics Committee, during January-May 2026, major enterprises in the country produced about 3 trillion soums worth of basic pharmaceutical products and medicines. This figure shows an increase of 22.3% compared to the same period in 2025.

Tashkent city led the way in the production of pharmaceutical products, its share amounted to 1.8 trillion soums. Syrdarya region took second place, where products worth 443.6 billion soums were produced.

In other regions, production volumes were also distributed as follows:

* Tashkent region - 226.4 billion soums;

* Namangan region - 169.1 billion soums;

* Samarkand region - 116.9 billion soums;

* Andijan region - 71.4 billion soums;

* Fergana region – 53.4 billion soums;

* Surkhandarya region – 49.3 billion soums;

* Kashkadarya region – 15.4 billion soums;

* Khorezm region – 12.1 billion soums;

* Bukhara region – 7.8 billion soums;

* Republic of Karakalpakstan – 3.5 billion soums;

* Jizzakh and Navoi regions – 0.1 billion soums each.

In general, the bulk of pharmaceutical products produced by large enterprises in the first five months of 2026 fell on the city of Tashkent and Syrdarya regions.
