Pharmaceutical production in Uzbekistan increased by 22.3%.

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — From January to May 2026, major pharmaceutical companies in Uzbekistan produced nearly 3 trillion soums worth of primary products and medications. According to the National Statistics Committee, this is a 22.3% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

Tashkent led in pharmaceutical production, producing 1.8 trillion soums worth of products. Syrdarya Region ranked second with 443.6 billion soums.

In Tashkent Region, production reached 226.4 billion soums, in Namangan Region 169.1 billion, and in Samarkand Region 116.9 billion soums.

Large enterprises in the Andijan region produced pharmaceutical products worth 71.4 billion soums, in the Fergana region 53.4 billion soums, and in the Surkhandarya region 49.3 billion soums.

In the Kashkadarya region, this figure was 15.4 billion soums, in the Khorezm region 12.1 billion soums, and in the Bukhara region 7.8 billion soums.

In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, production volume reached 3.5 billion soums. In the Jizzakh and Navoi regions, it amounted to 0.1 billion soums each.

Thus, the bulk of pharmaceutical production by large enterprises in the first five months of 2026 was concentrated in Tashkent and the Syrdarya region.
