The President tasked regional governors with developing their assigned neighborhoods in Karakalpakstan

Yesterday, the construction of the "Yangi O‘zbekiston" (New Uzbekistan) array — "Nukus City", designed for 50,000 residents, began in the "Ashshiko‘l" area of the city of Nukus. This was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a meeting dedicated to the socio-economic development of Karakalpakstan.

Skyscrapers, business, trade, and service centers, as well as green avenues, will be built on an area of 270 hectares based on advanced architectural solutions and energy-efficient technologies. Potential foreign investors will be attracted to the investment projects.

Mustaqillik Street in Nukus has become a 24/7 venue. Due to 28 entrepreneurs starting their businesses and 50 expanding their activities, trade turnover doubled in one week.

The Nur and Elobod neighborhoods will be improved based on the model of the Qichqiriq neighborhood in Olmazor. It was instructed to build a modern venue that attracts the population in the local park by the Navruz holiday.

In Kegeyli, the closure of a 3.5-kilometer drainage ditch has begun to build 100 service facilities. This will create 320 jobs.

The governors of the remaining regions were also tasked with implementing similar projects in one neighborhood and on one central street in their assigned districts by Navruz.

It was proposed that the residents themselves should evaluate the improved streets and neighborhoods, and if the people approve, these streets will be named after the regions that improved them.

There are 1 million 100 thousand young people in Karakalpakstan, of whom 505 thousand are aged 14-30. The head of state emphasized that this is a great force and that it is important to give young people the right direction.

The task was set to provide 1 thousand young people with high-income jobs in the field of information technology and logistics in one year, and another 5 thousand in the next two years.

In the region, there are 98 thousand young people with foreign language certificates, 127 thousand in information technology, and 5.5 thousand who have received certificates in exact sciences. Of these, 10 thousand are fluent in foreign languages and information technology.

The initiative of our compatriot in Korea to teach information technology to young people in remote areas and make them high-income earners was supported.

By the end of the year, it was instructed to attract at least 10 such talented compatriots to Karakalpakstan and launch projects.
