The President inspected a food street and an overpass in Andijan
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with a 1.2 km long gastronomic street in Andijan. The cost of the project amounted to 18 billion soums. He also inspected an overpass worth 271 billion soums near the railway station. Thanks to it, the travel time to the emergency medical care center has been reduced by 14 minutes.

On Wednesday evening, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited a gastronomic street created in Andijan.
The 1.2 km long project covered Mashrab and Sarikuy streets. Its cost amounted to 18 billion soums. Out of this sum, 8 billion soums were allocated from the republican budget, and 10 billion soums were contributed by entrepreneurs.
Wide sidewalks have been built on the street, modern landscaping has been completed, and fountains and lighting have been installed.
Currently, 35 retail outlets are located here, some of which are designed to operate around the clock. The street is capable of receiving more than 10,000 residents and tourists per day.
The head of state walked along the street and spoke with residents and entrepreneurs.
Last week, Shavkat Mirziyoyev was in Nukus, where he also visited an improved street.
On the same day, the president inspected a new overpass near the Andijan railway station. The structure connected two parts of Baburshokh Street.
The overpass, costing 271 billion soums, has a length of 796 m, of which the flyover section accounts for 596 m, and a width of 26 m.
It is reported that thanks to it, patients can be delivered to the emergency medical center 14 minutes faster — the route has been shortened from 15 to 9.3 km.
