A new overpass connecting two parts of Boburshoh Street in the city of Andijan has been put into operation

Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the new overpass connecting two parts of Boburshoh Street in the city of Andijan.

This facility directly connects the two parts of the city, serving to ease traffic flow and eliminate unnecessary detours. The project, with a total value of 271 billion soums, was implemented based on the instructions given by the head of state during his previous visit to the Andijan region.

The total length of the overpass is 796 meters, and its width is 25.9 meters. Of this, 596 meters consist of an overpass structure, and 200 meters consist of a road section with retaining walls.

The new facility, first of all, has created great convenience for the population. 140,000 residents living in the city of Andijan and the Altinkul district will no longer have to travel an extra 5.3 kilometers.

Also, the travel distance for special services has decreased from 15 kilometers to 9.3 kilometers. Due to the elimination of the extra distance and waiting times at the railway crossing, the time to reach the destination will be reduced by up to 17 minutes.

This is particularly important for providing emergency medical assistance. Now, it is possible to deliver patients to the emergency medical center 14 minutes faster than before.
