Construction of the new 481.5-meter bridge over the Naryn River has been completed
In the Namangan region, the construction of a new 481.5-meter bridge over the Norin River has been completed. The structure connects the Uychi, Uchqurghon, and Norin districts with the regional center. It is noted that the bridge will serve to reduce traffic flow and congestion on the Namangan-Andijan highway.

In the Namangan region, the construction of a bridge over the Naryn River, worth 62 billion soums, which connects the Uychi, Uchkurgan, and Naryn districts with the regional center, has been completed.
"This bridge, with a length of 481.5 meters, is one of the largest and longest structures built over a river in Uzbekistan during the years of independence," the report says.
Within the framework of the project, a total of 17.5 kilometers of new highway will also be built. Currently, work on constructing a new road leading to the bridge from the territory of the Uchkurgan district is ongoing.
According to the administration, after the bridge and the new road are put into operation, traffic flow and congestion on the state-importance D 109 (4R 116) Namangan-Uychi-Uchkurgan-Haqqulobod-Andijan highway will decrease.
At that time, the value of the bridge was said to be 53.6 billion soums.
In 2020, after signs of cracking were detected on the "Naryndaryo" bridge, located at the 93rd kilometer of the Fergana Ring Road, which connects two districts with the regional center, it was temporarily closed. This bridge was put into operation in 1962. A few years ago, thousands of citizens were forced to cross the river by boat to go to work, study, the market, and for other needs.
While the river crossing was closed, a temporary bridge was built in the Naryn district to cross the river.
Six months later, the construction work was completed, and on November 1, the new bridge was put into operation.
