In Sergeli, the construction of a bridge over the "Jhunariq" canal, where students had to cross through pipes, has been completed.
A new bridge connecting the "Jhunariq" and "Yukori Darkhon" neighborhoods in the Sergeli district of Tashkent has been put into operation. The capital's administration announced this.
This facility will improve transport and pedestrian traffic in the area, in particular, ensuring the safety of schoolchildren.
Previously, the possibility of safely crossing the canal in this area was limited. The population, including schoolchildren, were forced to use pipes laid over the canal to shorten the route.
The new bridge is 28 meters long and 8 meters wide. It is noted that the structure is capable of lifting loads of up to 80 tons.
"The new bridge will ensure the safe and convenient passage of pedestrians, especially schoolchildren, along with the movement of vehicles. "Now, safe and convenient transportation has been established between the neighborhoods and educational institutions located on both sides of the canal," the report says.
