The overpass built on Babur Avenue in the city of Andijan has been commissioned. Its total length is 1,196 meters, and its height is 5–12 meters.

It is reported that this overpass will serve to reduce passenger travel time on public transport by up to 25 percent. Through this, 292 tons of fuel and lubricants will be saved. Harmful emissions into the atmosphere will decrease by 4 tons per year. The traffic flow on the overpass will reach from 8,000 to 22,000 vehicles per day.

During his visit to Andijan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced that three more major overpasses would be built in the Andijan region by 2027.

They will be constructed at the intersections of Milliy Tiklanish and Navoiy streets, Uzbekistan and Babur streets, as well as Amir Temur street and the New Ring Road. In addition, a bridge bypassing the center of the Asaka district will also be commissioned.
