The museum director was reprimanded for holding an entertainment event at the Khudayar Khan Palace

It was established that the "Chopon party" entertainment event was held at the Khudayar Khan Palace in Kokand without agreement with the Cultural Heritage Agency. Following the incident, the director of the Kokand Museum-Reserve was issued a reprimand. The agency reminded that any event at the site must be held in accordance with its cultural significance.

Videos showing an entertainment event held in the courtyard of the Khudayar Khan Palace in the city of Kokand have spread on social networks. The Cultural Heritage Agency announced that an investigation had been conducted regarding this situation.

It was established that on October 3, a "Chopon party" was organized on the territory of the palace under the name "A.club" with the participation of a group of women. This event was held by the management of the Kokand State Museum-Reserve without coordinating with the Cultural Heritage Agency in the established manner.

The agency stated that cultural, educational, public, and other events planned to be held in state museums and museum-reserves must be coordinated with the agency in accordance with the established procedure.

"The territory of the state museum-reserve must be specially protected as a cultural heritage site. Therefore, when organizing any event in this area, strict compliance with the requirements for preserving, protecting, and using the cultural significance and historical appearance of the object is mandatory," the statement said.

Regarding the above situation, a disciplinary sanction in the form of a reprimand was applied to the director of the Kokand State Museum-Reserve, M. Mavlonqulov, in accordance with Article 312 of the Labor Code, for failing to properly perform his official duties.

The agency stated that control measures for organizing events on the territory of cultural heritage sites and museum-reserves in accordance with the established procedures and requirements will be strengthened in the future.
