**Special materials purchased to restore the throne of Khudoyorkhan – Cultural Heritage Agency**

After news about the throne installed in the Khudoyorkhan complex in Kokand spread on social networks, the Cultural Heritage Agency commented on the situation.

According to the agency, the throne that caused public discussion is not a museum exhibit. It was prepared as a prop for the filming of the historical film "Kokand Wind" in 2018. After the filming was completed, the throne was temporarily left to fill the void in the Grand Hall.

Currently, work is underway to create a replica of the throne that matches the historical appearance of the Khudoyorkhan Palace. In May 2024, the museum management visited the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg and found out that the original copy of the throne is not stored there.

Historical sources and existing documents are being studied to restore the throne. For the work, materials were purchased from a special black walnut tree growing in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan.

Contact has been established with craftsmen from the Iranian city of Maloir to decorate and process the throne. Wood carving work is planned to be carried out by a master from Uzbekistan, Mirzo Yunus Umarov.

The agency noted that creating a worthy copy of the throne based on historical sources and scientific foundations is a complex and multi-stage process. The work is planned to be completed by the end of 2028.
