The Abdulla Qahhor House-Museum in Tashkent has been closed until December 31 due to renovation and modernization work. During this period, to ensure the safety of the museum exhibits, they will be temporarily transferred to the State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan.

The activities of the Abdulla Qahhor House-Museum, located in the Yakkasaroy district of Tashkent, have been temporarily suspended from September 21 to December 31, the Cultural Heritage Agency reports.
It is reported that repair, restoration, and modernization work will be carried out during this period. During the process, measures will be taken, in particular, to safely dismantle the items in the museum's exposition, ensure the preservation of the exhibits in the fund, and place them in special rooms.
All museum items will be temporarily moved to the State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan with the participation of specialists. After the completion of the work, the exhibits will be fully returned to the house-museum in compliance with all safety regulations.
The process of moving and relocating the items will be carried out on the basis of delivery and acceptance acts in accordance with the procedure established by law, the report says.
Earlier, the Yunus Rajabi House-Museum in the capital was also closed until May 30, 2027.
