The house-museum was opened in December 1997, the year marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of Yunus Rajabiy, a People's Artist of Uzbekistan, famous singer, composer, and compiler of Uzbek folk music. It features a memorial room where the musician spent the last years of his life, as well as four exhibition halls chronicling his life and work.
