Uzbekistan and the EU to discuss investments in the Trans-Caspian Corridor and simplification of border procedures
On September 30, Uzbekistan and the European Union will hold the second national conference on the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor in Tashkent. The meeting will discuss investments in railways and highways, logistics development, and attracting private business. This was announced by the press service of the EU Delegation to Uzbekistan.
The conference will be organized by the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan and the European Commission's Directorate-General for International Partnerships. The event will be attended by representatives of government agencies, international financial institutions, and transport and logistics companies.
Participants will review priority projects for Uzbekistan along the route between Central Asia and Europe. In addition to the development of roads and border procedures, the agenda includes the logistics network, the digitalization of trade and transport documents, and attracting private business.
The conference will take place within the framework of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor Coordination Platform, which the EU funds under the Global Gateway strategy. The platform brings together five Central Asian countries, the European Union, international financial institutions, and other partners to coordinate investments and reforms along the route.
