Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan discussed the development of freight transport
A delegation from the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan studied Kazakhstan's transport infrastructure and agreed to establish a joint venture.

Representatives of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan visited Kazakhstan from August 10 to 11, where they studied the functioning of the cross-border transport and logistics infrastructure and discussed ways to increase freight traffic between the two countries. During the visit, an agreement to establish a joint venture was reached at the Kedentransservice terminal at Altynkol station.
During the trip, the Uzbek delegation gained insight into the organization of rail and multimodal freight transportation and learned about Kazakhstan's experience in developing transport and logistics infrastructure. In particular, delegates from the Ministry of Transport visited the Altynkol railway station, located on the Kazakhstan-China border, the Kedentransservice terminal, the KTZE-Khorgos Gateway dry port, the Khorgos-Eastern Gate special economic zone, and the Khorgos International Cross-Border Cooperation Center.
A key issue during the discussions was ensuring the uninterrupted flow of cargo along the China-Kazakhstan-Central Asia route. The parties also considered opportunities to increase container shipping, develop multimodal transport corridors, and diversify logistics routes.
One significant outcome of the visit was an agreement with the Kazakh side to establish a joint venture at the Kedentransservice terminal at the Altynkol station.
The meeting participants also discussed further prospects for developing cooperation in transport and logistics between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
