The last citizen injured in the drone attacks in Russia has been returned to Uzbekistan

The last of the Uzbek citizens injured during the tragic events in the city of Nizhnekamsk in August 2026 has been medically repatriated to Uzbekistan.

S.A.S., born in 2001, was initially treated in the intensive care unit of the Central Hospital in the city of Nizhnekamsk. Later, with the support of the local government authorities of Tatarstan, he was transported by helicopter to a specialized hospital in the city of Kazan to continue his treatment. There, the citizen underwent two complex surgical operations.

The Consulate General and the Migration Agency organized the necessary rehabilitation processes and other measures to evacuate the compatriot to Uzbekistan. He was provided with consular-legal and practical assistance, and the necessary procedures related to repatriation were completed.

As a result of the measures taken, S.A.S. was brought to Uzbekistan on an Uzbekistan Airways flight on the Kazan—Tashkent route. He was provided with appropriate medical assistance to continue his treatment in the country.

On August 10, drone attacks were carried out on a number of facilities located in the city of Nizhnekamsk in Tatarstan. As a result of the incident, 8 citizens of Uzbekistan working at a construction enterprise in the city of Nizhnekamsk were killed, and a number of other citizens were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity.

On August 12, the bodies of the deceased citizens were brought to Uzbekistan via a special flight. According to the report of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, all issues related to this situation, including the provision of necessary assistance to the injured citizens, have been taken under control in cooperation with the Russian side.
